Summer toboggan run in the AlpsAlps Attractions  If your family likes the great outdoors then you are assured a fantastic holiday in the Alps.  It's not really the sort of place to go to if you need to be entertained, but if you are used to entertaining yourself and to having lots of exercise, then you will have a delightful time here.  We have dedicated sections on walking and cycling, as well as some lovely Alpine towns.  But here are a few other attractions worthy of mention, some of which offer different kinds of activity!

Les Jardins Secrets

Location: 18kms west of Annecy, outside the small village of Vaulx.

General Information: 2011 openings are: 10th April - 10th July - 2pm-5pm weekdays and 1.30pm-6pm weekends and holidays.  11th July - 21st August - everyday from 10.30am-6pm.  22nd August - 4th September - everyday from 1.30pm-6pm and from 5th September - 9th October weekends only from 1.30pm-5pm.  Written guides in English are available.  Website: www.jardins-secrets.com.  Tel No: 0(4) 50 60 53 18.

Description: An incredible site offering 7 hectares of small themed gardens, interspersed with canals, water basins and fountains. Each of the individual areas has a unique architecture and design. The gardens are very much a visual delight.

For children: Not so exciting for children.
